Uganda
REDUCE was piloted in Uganda in 2000 and revitalized in 2003. District planning meetings were held in two districts to advocate for focused antenatal care, other clinical interventions, and to mobilize the communities around maternal health issues. Three maternity units were opened in these districts and the Mityana Catholic Diocese organized a health day to promote maternal health.
