Burkina Faso

The country team successfully mobilized resources from the Ministry of Health to support increased programs and interventions for safe motherhood. Eleven percent of the health budget is now designated for safe motherhood and the government is subsidizing the cost of caesarean sections resulting from emergency obstetric care.
